Bridget's Take
The firsthand perspective.
Zemi Miches is a gorgeous resort with spacious rooms, 17 restaurants, and a warm, cheerful team. I stayed on the club level and would happily send clients here for a peaceful beach escape that never feels sleepy.
What I loved
- Club Azure rooms: large and beautiful, with a huge bathroom and shower, plus minibar and Nespresso included
- The Royal Palm, a club-level dining space on the Club Azure Rooftop, where I loved the potato croquettes, burrata, and citrus chicken
- Manicato, inspired by the Amalfi Coast, with wood-fired pizzas, house-made pastas, and fresh seafood
- Yuca, a beachside live-fire restaurant serving family-style, whole-table meals cooked over glowing embers
- Serra, the sports bar and gastropub, Anani pool bar, and the Hidden Locker speakeasy
- A mixology session with Danny Boy, a cheerful, talented bartender guests adore, where I made a mamajuana cocktail with rum, pineapple, and mango
- A catamaran excursion that picked us up right on the beach, with a waterslide stop and time to swim and relax at a sandbar
Good to know
- The Hidden Locker is a true speakeasy: guests have to find it before they can enjoy it, which is half the fun. Miches is about a two-hour drive from La Romana.
